€92 Million Jackpot Goes to German Ticket Holder
The ninth jackpot run of the year came to an end on Friday night, as a single ticket holder from Germany matched all the numbers to win €92.5 million.
The winning numbers for the draw on 30th August were 8, 11, 25, 31 and 48, with Euro numbers 11 and 12. In total, there were more than 924,000 prizes paid out across the 19 participating countries.
It was announced shortly after the draw that the jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Germany, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Another six players matched all five main numbers and one Euro number, netting each one a second-tier prize worth €475,375.
Among these six players, three came from Germany (Bavaria, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia), and there was one each from Greece, Hungary and Poland. For Greece, which only joined the game in March, it is one of the largest jackpots seen in the country so far.
Joy for Germany
Germany has now had 69 jackpot winners in the history of Eurojackpot, and the latest lucky ticket holder now has three years to come forward and claim their money.
Go to the Winner Statistics page to find out how many times the jackpot has been won in each country. There’s also a table showing the biggest wins of all time. The latest success ranks as the 11th-largest jackpot.
If the jackpot had rolled over, it would have pushed towards its €120 million limit. This cap has only been set at €120 million since it was raised from €90 million in March 2022.
The jackpot had been won most recently on 26th July, when €42 million was split between two players in Scandinavia - one from Sweden and the other from Norway.
Eurojackpot draws continue every Tuesday and Friday night. You can choose numbers online or visit an authorised retailer in any of the participating countries, then check the latest results after every draw.
