Double Delight as Two Players Win Eurojackpot Top Prize
Friday’s Eurojackpot draw resulted in double delight as two players from Germany each matched five main numbers and both Euro numbers to share the €30.7 million jackpot. The draw also featured a debut for ticket holders in Poland, but it was their western neighbours who really stole the show.
The winning numbers from Friday night’s draw were 15, 22, 29, 33 and 47, with 3 and 7 appearing as the Euro numbers. This is the first time since Friday 18th August, when a Norwegian player claimed a top prize of €47.3 million, that the jackpot has been claimed. The victory also adds to Germany’s impressive standing in Eurojackpot, with the western European nation now able to boast seven jackpot winners this year.
One of the lucky jackpot winners hales from Lower Saxony and purchased their ticket online as part of a monthly subscription, while the other victor, a resident of the Esslingen area of Baden-Wurttemburg, correctly matched the winning numbers to land the biggest prize in the region's history. Both players, who defied odds of over 95.3 million to one, will now each be looking forward to receiving a hefty eight-figure payout.
Five ticket holders in the Match 5+1 prize tier each scooped €308,244, while seven entrants secured €77,708 by matching all five main numbers.
Germany’s dominance in the draw somewhat upstaged Poland’s debut in the pan-European lottery; however, despite the result, there were still plenty of prizes for players from the 18th member nation.
Other rewards ranged from €7 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number to €1,333 for correctly predicting four main numbers and both Euro numbers. For a complete prize breakdown and additional draw information, visit the Eurojackpot Results page.
The jackpot has now reset ahead of next week’s Eurojackpot draw, but that doesn’t mean that you should miss out on adding €10 million to your bank account. To be in with a chance of winning this sizeable sum, you can pick your numbers online or play through any authorised retailer in participating countries. Good luck!
