Eurojackpot Millionaire from Wiesbaden Collects His Prize
A Eurojackpot player from Wiesbaden in Germany has claimed his €2.7 million prize for matching five main numbers and a Euro number in the draw on Friday 14th October. Whilst the winner’s cheque was significantly smaller than the €90 million jackpot secured by one of his compatriots in the same draw, the sum is sure to set the lucky ticket holder up for life.
The married man chose to remain anonymous, and told lottery officials that only his wife and parents knew about the win. He said he would not believe the windfall was real until he saw it in his bank account and that he would use part of it to ensure he had a bumper pension on which to retire.
The winning Eurojackpot numbers in the draw on 14th October were 7, 10, 25, 39 and 42 with Euro numbers 3 and 6 and a ticket holder from Baden-Wurttemberg clinched the €90 million jackpot to equal the biggest ever win in the game’s history. When the Wiesbaden winner was asked whether he was disappointed to have fallen just short of the eight-figure fortune, he categorically stated that he was not.
The player paid for two lines in the draw that made him a millionaire and was one of five Germans to succeed in the Match 5+1 tier. In addition, a participant from the Netherlands and two from Finland also received the large sum, enhanced by excess funds rolling down from the jackpot after it reached its cap.
If you would like the chance to win a huge Eurojackpot prize, you can play online for tonight’s €15 million jackpot or visit authorised retailers in any of the 17 participating countries. Good luck!
