The winning numbers were 29, 37, 38, 47 and 50, with 2 and 4 emerging as the two Euro numbers. Two more German players managed to secure €263,225 each by successfully matching all five main numbers. There were rewards for an additional 623,026 fortunate ticket holders, ranging from €8.50 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number to €7,019 for matching four main numbers and both Euro numbers. Having missed out on a €40 million jackpot this time around, Eurojackpot fans from across the continent will now turn their collective attention to this Friday’s draw, when the top prize is estimated to be worth a colossal €48 million. This is the largest top prize the lottery has offered since a ticket holder from Germany claimed a gargantuan cheque for over €76.7 million on the 25th of March this year. Any potential winner this Friday night would also be the recipient of the third-largest jackpot since the start of 2016, slotting in behind another German ticket holder who scooped €49.6 million on New Year’s Day.
If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning this Friday’s sensational jackpot, tickets can be purchased online or from any authorised retailer in participating countries. If you don’t live in one of the 17 nations which play Eurojackpot, don’t worry, as you can play the game online from wherever you are in the world by visiting the Tickets page. Good luck!
