German Player Becomes Millionaire as Eurojackpot Hits €28 Million
The top prize of €21.9 million in Eurojackpot eluded players from all 17 participating countries on Friday 19th August, but there were still nearly 420,000 ticket holders who pocketed cash amounts in the latest draw, including a German winner of €1.1 million.
The new German millionaire, from Hessen, matched five main numbers and one Euro number from the winning Eurojackpot line, which consisted of 22, 33, 42, 43 and 46 with Euro numbers 6 and 10. On a great night for German players, there were also two participants from the country - one from Bavaria and one from Lower Saxony - who matched five main numbers to win €139,634. A Norwegian entrant also matched five main numbers to win the equivalent sum (kr. 1.2 million).
The remaining prizes won ranged from €9.70 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number to €8,727 for matching four main numbers and two Euro numbers. Check out the Eurojackpot Results section for a full prize breakdown, plus all the winning numbers from recent draws to see if you might be due a prize.
Friday’s draw was the third rollover in a row since a ticket holder from Germany matched all five main numbers and both Euro numbers to scoop a gigantic €84.7 million. It was the second-largest prize to have ever been given away on the game, but the jackpot is already beginning to build up again very nicely.
