German Player Wins €50.2 Million Eurojackpot Top Prize
A Eurojackpot player from Germany won a fantastic €50.2 million on Friday 26th May as a run of five rollovers came to an end. Over 720,000 ticket holders from across the 17 participating prizes picked up prizes on an exciting night across the continent, with lots of big winners in the second and third tiers.
The numbers drawn on Friday were 3, 11, 13, 15 and 23, with Euro numbers 1 and 9. The lucky winner came from Rheinland-Pfalz, and has been congratulated by the state lottery’s managing director Jürgen Häfner. “We are glad that a player from our state has won Eurojackpot. After all, Rheinland-Pfalz was the first German state to approve this product in 2012.”
As well as the jackpot winner, there were also three German players among the seven ticket holders who matched five main numbers plus one Euro number to land €228,137 each. Another 37 participants matched five main numbers to win €15,233 each. Visit the Eurojackpot Results page to find out more.
The jackpot has now been won on four occasions in 2017. Five players split €90 million back on 6th January, before two ticket holders shared €45.1 million on Friday 10th February and then a Finnish participant scooped €86.9 million on Friday 14th April. The latest winner therefore becomes Germany’s biggest winner since the player who claimed €90 million on Friday 14th October.
There will be a €10 million top prize available in Friday’s Eurojackpot draw, offering another opportunity to snare a life-changing amount of money. You can get involved now by choosing numbers online or going to an authorised retailer in any of the participating countries. Good luck!
