Eurojackpot history was made in Lithuania on Friday night as a single ticket holder from the country matched all the numbers to win a prize worth €80.9 million. It is the largest lottery prize ever to be seen in the Baltic States.

The jackpot had previously rolled over for eight draws in a row, having not been won since a player from Poland landed €10 million on 3rd September.

But it turned out to be a record-breaking evening on 4th October after the results of the draw in Helsinki were processed.  The winning numbers were 4, 16, 27, 34 and 44, plus Euro numbers 4 and 7.

More than 1.1 million prizes were won in total, and someone from Lithuania managed to pocket the full €80,982,879 jackpot.

There had only previously been one jackpot won in Lithuania - a €24 million payout back in January 2022 - and the latest success was celebrated by the country’s lottery officials.

“A whole 80 million euros! This impressive sum is a new record not only in the history of lotteries in Lithuania, but also in the Baltic States,” said Donatas Kazlauskas, Deputy General Manager of the Lithuanian lottery company Olifeja.

“No previous lottery win is comparable to this prize and the luck that has smiled broadly upon the player or players from Lithuania. We congratulate the winner and look forward to meeting them, to shake their hand and hear their story. We encourage players to check their EuroJackpot tickets as soon as possible.”

It was revealed that the winning ticket was bought at the Norfa store on J.Basanavičiaus Street in the city of Ķėdainiai. The lucky player now has 60 days from the draw date to come forward and claim their money.

If you’re not sure whether you won a prize in the latest draw, you can use the Eurojackpot Checker to find out how many numbers you matched.

The next draw will have a jackpot of €10 million, and you can take part online or by visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries.
