Swedish Eurojackpot Player Sets National Record With €115 Million Win

A Eurojackpot player from Sweden set a new national record on Tuesday night as they won €115 million - one of the biggest prizes in the history of the game.
The jackpot had gone past €100 million following a run of 10 consecutive draws without a winner, and another rollover in the latest draw would have seen it hit its cap of €120 million.
Instead, a single ticket matched all the numbers - 3, 11, 30, 35 and 50, with Euro Numbers 4 and 5. Go to the Results Breakdown page to see a table of all the winners for each country, including the prize amounts paid out.
In Sweden, the €115 million jackpot equated to more than 1.2 billion krona, making the winner the country’s first lottery billionaire. The previous record for a Swedish player had been the 561 million krona (€53 million) jackpot won by a Eurojackpot player from Örebro in March 2019.
Svenska Spel, the operator of the Swedish lottery, has not yet revealed any details about the new winner. They will contact the ticket holder before providing information, but officials have been quick to express their excitement about the historic win.
“It's fantastic that we have received Sweden's first billion-dollar prize! We have never been close to a sum like this,” said Sofie Hodén, the communications officer for Svenska Spel.
“It will be incredibly exciting to call the person who submitted the winning line. How will the news be received? I can't imagine how one might react to such a big win. But one thing is for sure, it will definitely be a conversation that we will both remember for the rest of our lives.
“Now that it is a win at a completely high level, extra caution and care are of course required. The win will therefore be paid out in connection with a bank meeting where the winner will receive legal and financial advice. It is important to us that the winner can land in their new life as a billionaire in as safe a way as possible.”
Biggest Eurojackpot Wins
The biggest Eurojackpot wins have all occurred since the jackpot cap was raised from €90 million to €120 million in March 2022. The first winner of the maximum amount came from Blåvand in Denmark - they won €120 million in July 2022.
A number of other players have equalled the record over the past two and a half years. Most recently, two ticket holders from Germany split €120 million in December 2024.
The jackpot will now start again at €10 million, with draws every Tuesday and Friday night in Helsinki. Play online or pick up tickets from a retail location, then check the numbers after every draw.
